I Love to Travel
I think I caught the travel bug in the Air Force. Having come from New york and only living there for 20 years of my life, my first time away from home was "different". It was tgeh Air Force that took my to a far away land called Minot, North Dakota. If you ever been to North Dakota or anywhere "up there", you could relate. I tried every possible avenue to get out of there and get a decent assignment. I even tried getting a not-so-good one, just to leave.
In 1996, my wish came. I received order to Incirlik AB, Turkey. That's when the love for travel entered me. I enjoyed living in Turkey so much that I've returned several times since. From there, I only wanted overseas assignments.
Finally, in 2002, I decided to leave the military life and continue living overseas. Since leaving New York back in 1993, I've visited 5 continents and roughly 60 countries. What I enjoy most is being in a foreign land and seeing how different people live from those in the U.S. I also enjoy opening people's eyes to other cultures and watching them enjoy themselves in something they probably wouldn't.
